| Kentucky Association of Blacks in Higher Education |
Greetings,
The Kentucky Association of Blacks in Higher Education (KABHE), founded in 1983, remains committed to elevating the professional standing and expanding educational opportunities for African Americans across higher education institutions throughout the Commonwealth. For more than four decades, KABHE has upheld and advanced this mission through advocacy, leadership development, and meaningful professional engagement.
On April 25, 2026, KABHE will host its 43rd Annual Conference in Lexington, Kentucky. This year’s theme, “Rooted in Resilience: Sustaining Joy,” reflects our collective commitment to honoring the strength, perseverance, and purpose that continue to shape our work in higher education. As we navigate evolving challenges across our institutions, this theme centers both endurance and intentional joy as foundations for lasting impact.
We are also proud to share that KABHE has recently achieved 501(c)(3) nonprofit status. This milestone strengthens our ability to expand programming, increase accessibility, and build sustainable partnerships that support our members and students across Kentucky.
As a conference sponsor, your support will play a critical role in ensuring the success of this year’s convening. After many years of generous financial support from our institutions of higher education, KABHE is now entering a new chapter that relies more intentionally on community, corporate, and individual partnerships to sustain our work. Contributions will help us maintain affordable registration costs, support student participation, and provide high-quality networking and professional development opportunities. As a registered 501(c)(3) organization, all sponsorship contributions are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
The conference will feature engaging sessions, keynote presentations, and opportunities designed to foster mentorship, scholarship, and collaboration among higher education professionals and students alike.
Your partnership represents a meaningful investment in advancing equity, excellence, and sustainability within higher education across the Commonwealth.
If you would like to make a sponsorship online, please follow the directions at the bottom of this page by April 1, 2026. If you prefer to submit your sponsorship by check, please contact KABHE Treasurer, Dr. Kanita DuCloux Stephens. For any additional questions, please feel free to reach out to one of our Conference Chair listed below.
Thank you for your time, consideration, and continued commitment to strengthening higher education in Kentucky. We look forward to the opportunity to partner with you for the 2026 KABHE Conference.
Sincerely,
Dr. Kendriana Price, Conference Chair
